With solid B2C digital/performance marketing experience gained in client-side or agency roles,this is a super opportunity to bring your skills and energy to a challenging new role, developing and executing digital marketing strategies in the fast-paced FMCG world.  Our client is a major FMCG business with a portfolio of much-loved food brands with incredible heritage and ambitious growth plans.  We’re looking for a talented, ambitious person to join the team; someone who will work alongside the team lead to develop digital marketing strategies, and execute paid activations across the range of brands.  You will work closely with the brand marketing and commercial teams to understand short and longer-term goals, translating these into effective campaigns across all relevant digital channels, tracking their performance, and making clear recommendations for marketing investment.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

Supporting the digital marketing lead to develop the company’s digital marketing strategy.

Owning the company’s portfolio of digital assets, including managing key agency partners to ensure they are technically robust and understand marketing objectives and consumer needs.

Leading paid digital marketing campaigns across owned and third-party sites to include:

- Devising and executing engaging and high-performing digital initiatives that align to brand strategies.

- Creating campaigns that drive tangible performance results across identified metrics, including reach, user traffic, engagement, and conversion.

- Optimising and managing performance budgets.

Working closely with the Content Lead to ensure all creative assets are aligned to brand guidelines, have optimal impact and are delivered on time.

Leading the day-to-day digital performance relationship with the company’s digital media agency.

Supporting the development of a data-first culture within the business by leading consumer insights for the digital marketing team and developing robust reporting methods that showcase results to all key stakeholders.

Putting the consumer at the heart of digital plans via effective AB testing and user experience (UX) planning.

Driving digital marketing innovation, agile ways of working and a culture of continual test-and learn/improvement.

Ensuring strategies and plans evolve with upcoming trends as well as the changing digital landscape and technologies.

Bringing outside knowledge into the business and making recommendations that ensure we have a finger on the digital pulse.

 

Skills & Experience Checklist

A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in consumer digital marketing, preferably in performance marketing.

Experience in developing and executing digital marketing strategies and budgets across the digital marketing mix.

Excellent knowledge of:

- Tracking, analysing and reporting performance marketing metrics and using analytical tools including Google Analytics

- Executing paid media campaigns independently utilising advertising platforms as well as via media agencies.

- Evolving digital marketing trends and external best practice.

Demonstratable commercial acumen with experience tracking, analysing and reporting digital marketing metrics and presenting findings and recommendations to the business.

An excellent communicator and presenter with the ability to build strong relationships and drive influence across the business, conveying ideas and information clearly and with passion and energy.

Strong organisational and planning skills with the resilience required to deliver great results in a busy environment.

A curious self-starter and thinker who is hungry for growth, able to prioritise their workload and work proactively and collaboratively within a hybrid working environment.

Experience in driving great relationships with external media agencies and media owners
