Unlocking category growth with deep shopper understanding and creating best in class campaigns and shopper initiatives for all major grocery multiples, is the challenge of this exceptional role working on one of the UK’s largest FMCG brand owners. Working on across 2 key food brands, you will play a key role in the business; helping to develop an exceptional shopper marketing strategy and investment plan, and building campaigns that deliver tangible growth within what is a highly competitive and busy category. You will be one of the shopper experts in the team, demonstrating your knowledge of the retail arena and
target shoppers across the category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being the expert for the client’s category, championing its brands within key retailers for all things shopper marketing
  • Developing strong relationships with key marketing contacts at customers as well as within the company’s brand, sales and category teams to deliver against brand/portfolio objectives
  • Setting clear measurable objectives for all activities ensuring every pound is spent efficiently
  • Managing shopper investment and ensuring effective evaluation from a return on investment perspective to drive effective decision making
  • Managing agency partners ensuring that they are delivering on requirements outlined in briefs and effectively delivering on all account management responsibilities
  • Actively contributing to various cross-functional projects, ensuring effective planning & alignment

Skills check list for this role

  • Solid FMCG knowledge with a good understanding of the industry and grocery customer needs
  • Hands-on shopper marketing experience, ideally with a grasp of brand marketing, category and sales issues and priorities
  • Demonstrated experience of cross-functional project management and planning
  • Self-motivated, innovative and ambitious with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and resilience
  • A real desire to identify and present new opportunities to drive shopper engagement to customers and internal colleagues
  • Highly organised, able to multi-task and communicate with numerous touch points
  • Full UK driving licence as the role will require travel to retailer and media/agency partners
